The 4th album by Rearranging the Furniture includes my favorite collaboration. I wrote this album with the people who attended The Caring Partners Adult Day Program in Rochester. I wrote parts of songs and they gave words and phrases as we went around a circle and ask each of them for a word or phrase that would fit. I then asked them for 5 chords for each song and would use those chords to actually write the melody for the song when the lyrics were written, and I was at home alone. When the song was recorded, I would then go back and record them doing backing vocals and/or the words or phrases they gave me for the songs. A couple of the songs were written by either a participant who attended or by another volunteer. All songs co-written by all of us.
